The Gifts of the Enneagram Retreat will provide numerous opportunities for exploration, whether you are new to the Enneagram or have been using it as a tool in your spiritual practice for years. The Men’s Rites of Passage (MROP) program is a four-night/five-day deeply prayerful and soulful experience that builds on the classic patterns of male initiation through moving rituals and teachings. Each day includes group prayer, major teachings on central themes in masculine spirituality, quiet time for reflection, and sharing in the context of a small group.

Join us for Soularize 2021, as we come back together as men transforming men, shoulder to shoulder once again. We will reconnect in ways that offer healing and wholeness, new life and possibility for each other and the wider world. Our bodies carry wisdom and shame, trauma and holiness, bias and blessing. And they ache for re-connection. We’ll tend to them and to each other as we explore our relationships with other bodies, including the Earth and the deep union that is beneath.Through drumming, story, nature, and council, we will re-embody inner work that makes a difference in the world.

Many men have expressed an interest to get together, so we decided to have this Reconnecting Gathering at Aravaipa Canyon - April 23-25, 2021. There is no specific theme for the weekend other than reconnection and time in nature. There will be some ritual and council but mostly time for us to unwind, reconnect and be reinvigorated.

At Oracle, we will move through a collective rites-of-passage ceremony into a collective creative process of visioning and idea generation of “where to next” for Illuman.

Elders at the Gate is a three-day virtual experience, January 8-10, 2021, built from the ground up on the collective wisdom and work of the men of Illuman. Hosted by the NorCal Chapter and focused heavily in the power of story and council, this event in an invitation into deeper brotherhood for all men, initiated and uninitiated (any initiate signed up for a cancelled 2020 MROP may attend for free). Illuman is partnering with the Animas Valley Institute (AVI) for a Virtual Soulcraft Intensive from September 9–13, 2020. Due to COVID-19, this partnership program, which was originally scheduled to occur at Ghost Ranch immediately before Soularize, is now being offered in an online format in September.

We generally fast for the wandering portion of the day. Bring a camp chair, water, daypack, sun protection, layers of clothing.

The Initiator Program is not a repetition of an MROP experience but is designed to give you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of initiation while inviting and sponsoring another man to attend the MROP.
